2025 Sandcastle Contest Application & Waiver

The Sandcastle Contest will be held on April 26th, 2025 at 2:30pm. All participants will be contacted by email once the registration period ends.

LIABILITY WAIVER

Individuals signing this Sandcastle Contest Entry Form voluntarily agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Jacksonville Beach, its public officials, administrators, directors, agents, servants, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), actions, causes of actions, or suits of any kind or type, whether known, unknown, foreseeable, or unforeseeable arising out of or related in any way to my participation in the Sandcastle Contest, including but not limited to injury to or death of persons or damages to property arising out of or in any way related to the negligence, work, services, or activities of the individual signing this waiver, or any of their officers, agents, employees, or volunteers including, but not limited to, the joint, concurrent, or comparative negligence, if any, of the City of Jacksonville Beach in connection with the Sandcastle Contest.

It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release, and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to assume all responsibility for any property damage or injury to any person caused by me while participating in the City of Jacksonville Beach Sandcastle Contest.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE BEACH.

CONSENT OF PARENT/GUARDIAN

(If Participant(s) is/are a minor younger than 18 years of age)

I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant(s) listed herein. I hereby voluntarily consent to the minor child(ren) identified below participating in the Sandcastle Contest and I hereby execute this Waiver and Release on his/her behalf. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Jacksonville Beach, its public officials, administrators, directors, agents, servants, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), actions, causes of actions, or suits of any kind or type, whether known, unknown, foreseeable, or unforeseeable arising out of or related in any way to their participation in the Sandcastle Contest, including but not limited to injury to or death of persons or damages to property arising out of or in any way related to the negligence, work, services, or activities of the individual signing this waiver, or any of their officers, agents, employees, or volunteers including, but not limited to, the joint, concurrent, or comparative negligence, if any, of the City of Jacksonville Beach in connection with the Sandcastle Contest.
