Blue Cypress Golf Course
There’s a new golf course in town, and it’s the closest one to Downtown.
Blue Cypress Golf Course has reopened with an amazing new makeover which included resurfacing all tees, greens, fairways and driving range. The Course is a 9-hole, par 36 course measuring 3,229 yards from the longest tees. The course had previously been an 18-hole golf course but because the park is in an environmentally sensitive area, plans were developed to reduce the course to a 9-holes and use the remaining area for a natural, resource-based public outdoor recreation site.
This friendly, casual course is centrally located and easily accessible. Blue Cypress’ location makes it a great option for visitors looking to get in a round of golf but not wanting to go too far. Located in Arlington, just over the Mathews Bridge from Downtown, the course is a short ride from your business meeting or conference. Book rounds on Blue Cypress Golf or in the Blue Cypress Golf App. It’s a perfect spot to get away for an afternoon or evening round during your business trip to Jacksonville.
The course is owned by the City of Jacksonville but managed by Indigo Golf Partners, the same management company also manages the two other city-owned golf courses in Jax – Bent Creek and Brentwood Golf Course.
Blue Cypress Park is a wonderful park in Arlington that offers lots to do outside of the golf, amenities at the park include a playground, Community Center, tennis courts, soccer fields, trails and picnic shelters. Additionally, the fishing pier and boardwalk include beautiful, scenic views of the St. Johns River. But there is more planned! In the future, there are plans in the works for a community pool, new turf sports field, and pickleball courts. The golf course also has plans to add three holes in the future making a super unique 12-hole course.
