Jacksonville’s Top Hot Brunch Spots
Start your day the right way, with mimosas
Whoever said that breakfast was the most important meal of the day, never had brunch. Getting brunch is an experience worth sleeping in for, and there is no doubt that Jacksonville has some of the best brunch spots that I have ever been to.
If you are looking to switch up your morning with bright mimosas, savory biscuits, or creme brulee french toast then you must check out these brunch locations in Jax. They will surely leave you coming back for more.
Maple Street Biscuit Company
You’ve had biscuits before, but have you ever had them like this? Maple Street is a popular brunch location in Florida, but what makes them special is that they were founded right here in Jax. They serve a wide variety of coffee and fresh biscuits made daily, along with homemade jams. My personal favorite is The Farmer, a fried chicken biscuit served with pecanwood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese topped with fresh house-made apple butter. Maple Street serves brunch daily from 7 am to 2 pm at multiple locations.
Jax Beach Brunch Haus
Brunching with your vegan and vegetarian family or friends? Then Jax Beach Brunch Haus should be your brunch staple. Located in Jacksonville Beach, this spot serves a wide variety of brunch plates as well as a full bar with specialty brunch cocktails. The Brunch Haus is open daily from 7 am to 2:30 pm.
Metro Diner
A Jacksonville brunch list would not be complete without Metro Diner. After its first location opened in Jacksonville, Metro quickly expanded and now has over 50 locations nationwide. Known for their chicken and waffles, Metro serves a full brunch menu with a family friendly atmosphere, and kids love their cinnamon roll pancakes. Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives even gives Metro Diner his seal of approval. Hours vary by location.
Uptown Kitchen and Bar
Take a mimosa to-go and walk along the Southbank Riverwalk after visiting Uptown Kitchen and Bar for brunch. Located in Springfield, Uptown Kitchen serves breakfast all day, and their menu is filled with fresh ingredients. They have a great selection of items such as their vegan tofu scramble, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Uptown Kitchen is open daily from 7 am to 3 pm.
Biscottis
If you are looking for the perfect peach bellini to start your weekend morning off right, then you must stop by Biscottis in Avondale. The restaurant offers unique brunch menu items such as creme brulee french toast, cajun seafood benedict, and sweet potato pancakes. Biscottis also has vegetarian and gluten free options and specialty brunch cocktails. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm.
The Local
If you are looking to spice up your brunch, The Local in Neptune Beach is the place for you. The restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes with everything from waffles, oysters, fried chicken, and short ribs, each option with unique twist. The Local is open Monday through Sunday, and hours vary by location.
My go-to brunch spots are Orsay and Grumpy’s. Most people hear Orsay and think that it’s an expensive date night spot, but they have a fantastic brunch as well. I always get the Two Dollars deviled eggs and the Lobster Mac and Cheese (get the large, trust me you will eat it all).Jill Cruz @snackandjillVisit Jax Local Insider Tip
