TOP FAMILY BREWERIES in Jax

Jax is a top family destination in Florida, with an abundance of breweries that cater to the needs of families.

All the breweries of the Jax Ale trail provide special attractions, games and activities to keep children entertained while the grownups unwind. From offering highchairs and family board games, to outdoor games, and specialty sodas for the little ones, going to a brewery really can be fun for the whole family in Jax!

THE JAX ALE TRAIL is home to more than 20 craft breweries. Here are some of the coolest family-friendly options:

Head to Intuition Ale Works in the heart of the Sports Complex in Downtown for a great beer with a view! The tap room has a rooftop bar that overlooks both the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium and the St. Johns River. While you sample some of their local brews like the Jon Boat Coastal Ale, People’s Pale Ale and I-10 IPA, the little ones can stay entertained playing board games, ping-pong, and cornhole. Join them during their Saturday morning yoga classes or special family game nights with bounce houses, face-painting and balloon animals.

Myrtle Avenue Brewing is now open in Jacksonville’s Rail Yard District, bringing the total number of craft breweries on the Jax Ale Trail to 25. The family-friendly brewery features a spacious outdoor area, complete with a play area for kids. Myrtle Avenue Brewing is in what is known as the Jax Railyard Exchange which includes other businesses: Bobbyk Boutique, Longroad Coffee Co. and Hillary’s Chicago Pizza. The brewery will serve pizza Wednesdays and Fridays from a commissary kitchen, while Route 90 BBQ will serve barbecue Thursdays and Saturdays.

At Wicked Barley Brewing Company, in the heart of the Mandarin neighborhood, beer and adventure lovers can arrive to enjoy a great family time via boat or kayak. Wicked Barley offers a great food menu, a covered patio, a dock, and fun activities like cornhole, outdoor hammocks, Adirondack chairs, trivia, and plenty of outdoor activities.

In Jacksonville Beach, Green Room Brewing has a full room dedicated to family fun! They have ping pong tables, foosball tables, jenga, board games and live music during the weekend. You are also welcomed to bring your own food. Green Room offers a long list of craft beers including their Count Shakula Stout, Pablo Beach Pale Ale, and Fruit on the Bottom Sour.
