Jax is a golfer's paradise with some 20+ public golf courses to play 18 holes, but our city is also a very fun spot to gather for a game of disc golf.
Don’t know what disc golf is? Think golf but with a frisbee. The game has pretty similar rules, a group of players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee area toward a target, throwing again from the landing position of the disc until the target is reached. Usually, the number of throws a player uses to reach each target are tallied (often in relation to par), and players seek to complete each hole, and the course, in the lowest number of total throws.

Fore Palms Disc Golf Course:
A great course for both beginners and intermediate players. It has a solid setup, and plenty of different terrains to throw through. The course is open and wooded and sits on a former 9-hole ball golf course. It has a level of difficulty with 2 holes with serious water hazards. Dual tees. 24 holes.

Springfield Disc Golf Course:
This course opened in 2012 in the historic neighborhood. It is mostly flat and wanders through trees and other man-made obstacles in small parks and past beautiful 100-year-old homes. Most of its 18 holes are relatively short. This spot is near baseball and basketball courts as well!

New World Sports Complex:
An amazing stop for a disc golf player. They have a pro shop to pick up any supplies you would need, and you can even rent carts. The bar and restaurant also have great food. Reviews of the course call it the best in Jax! 18 holes.
