Escape from the world through the miles and miles of trails that connect the Jacksonville Equestrian Center and the Cecil Recreation Complex.
The land was previously a part of Naval Air Station Cecil Field. It was the home of their aircraft armament storage.
The complex trails include asphalt, gravel and dirt roads, which lead into the Cecil Field Conservation Corridor. You can stroll the trails and view wildlife. Trails are also set up for biking and equestrian activities.
In addition to the trails you can enjoy picnics in the park. The Cecil Recreation Complex contains a full-size gymnasium that includes workout rooms, racquetball courts, saunas and shower areas. It also has an Olympic-size pool for aquatics. The facilities are also great for corporate gatherings. It is equipped with a multi-purpose room and classrooms. Everyone can team up and make reservations to utilize the softball fields or watch a scheduled softball game.
