Jacksonville Icemen
Ice is back in Jax!
The Jacksonville Icemen started play in 2017 as part of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), a development league for the National Hockey League. Home games are played at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
The team plays a 36-game regular season home schedule against South Division teams from Atlanta, Cincinnati, Naples/Fort Myers, Orlando, and Greenville and Charleston, as well as the rest of the 28-team ECHL, which extends from Jacksonville to Anchorage, Alaska.
The Icemen games are an entertaining, family-friendly experience. Every seat in the arena is a good one and the team puts on various theme nights including Marvel Super Hero Night, Bike Night, Guns & Hoses Night, Star Wars Night and more. Make sure to also try and snag a photo with the Icemen mascot, Fang.
There is also a dedicated seat at the arena that will forever remain empty in honor of prisoners of war and missing-in-action service members. It was dedicated during the inaugural season.

Jacksonville Icemen Fan Experience
Hosted in the Vystar Veteran’s Memorial Arena, the Jacksonville Icemen have been skating circles around other minor league hockey teams since 2017.
If you want to attend a game (and we totally think you should!) you can grab your tickets here. After heading on over to the Sports Complex of Jacksonville, and maybe grabbing a dinner and a cocktail at one of our local favorites, make your way into the Arena for a game experience you will never forget. If you’re lucky, you might even get picked to ride the Zamboni at halftime! Make sure to keep your eye out for famous players such as Dajon Mingo. After the game, there are many options close by to go out with other fans afterwards!
